This week’s Destroyer Word is, “curtains.” Curtains were hung next to the bed. Perhaps they were just a little too close. It seems that in the night I grabbed hold, yanked them off the wall and then curled up with my new blankets. When discovered, I’m told, I was quite reluctant to give them up.

*sigh*

Anyway, I’ve added some pictures from my trip to Whistler/Blackcomb.

Another Destroyer Moment Brought to You By Tomato

Yesterday I had leftovers. It was a sandwich and it was cold, so it went into the microwave. Then it was a little bit tough, so eating it took more than the average amount of mastication. This perturbed a molten tomato, which jumped off the sandwich and bapped me on the chin--leaving an unpleasant burn blister. Fortunately it healed quickly. Hooray for mutant healing powers.

It took me long enough. This week's cool thing is the Black Pearl that I painted for Gencon. She took second place to Jade.

The first week of class was fun and exciting as usual. It turns out that one of my hard classes is easy. Genomics should have been hard, but it's really slow. And it comes in two hour chunks, so by the end of it I'm a little buzzing ball of bored. Which I suppose is ok, since this quarter's biochem compensates by being a great deal faster/harder than I expected.

Back to the Grind

My three week break from classes has been lovely. I just got back from a skiing trip to Whistler which had some fantastic crashes. But classes are starting now, which means I have to be all responsible and stuff. To celebrate, I have dyed the Rogue-style streak in my hair purple.

Also, I've added a new section. Real news. On the off chance that I have something important to say, it tends to be buried in babble. So now I have a dedicated section for Important Stuff. In that section you'll find an announcement that I'm going to be teaching classes at Genghis Con.

Also, there is a new picture up in my Random Galley.
