Spring

Spring is here at last. For every warm sunny weekend there is one with sleet and snow. On a particularly nice day I went for a walk in a quiet neighborhood. I was a bit surprized to hear a jackhammer, since I couldn't see any construction work. As I got closer to the source of the noise, I saw that it was a woodpecker hammering away at a steel pipe chimney. I think they hammer like that to attract mates. His lady bird is going to be very impressed with his pecker.
We have a new kitty. His name is Nom; he likes to bite stuff and ambush our feet.
