Excitement!
  --20 June, 2008, 13:52:19

I believe it's safe to say that biochemisty type people have a bit of a mean streak. This extends to the faculty as well. They are always the last ones to turn in their grades, so after the brutal exams one must wait more than a week before you can find out how you did. After about a million refreshes, my grade was finally displayed. 2.6 for biochem. That's a C! How can this be possible?

*RUPTURE*

That grade would only be possible if I had severly bombed the final. So I emailed the prof. His response was, "Whoops, that's supposed to be a 3.6. I don't think I've ever been happier about a grade.

Andrew and I drove down to Portland for fun, excitement and decompression. The pictures from that are here.

and still sleepy

It's been an eventful couple of weeks. The biggest event was the biochem final exam yesterday. It was the last test of my last biochem class and I think it went very well. Last night to celebrate Andrew and I caught the opening show of "Avenue Q." Then I slept for almost thirteen hours.

I'm a little bit fuzzy headed. It's been quite a while since my last update, and I'm afraid that I'm unable to provide anything even approaching witty. But I have some cool pictures. Dark Sword Minatures has released a really adorable frog jester, and my rendition is up in my gallery.

A week or two before the final I needed a hike. Most everything in the mountains is still under snow, so Mt. Si was the best option. It was a cloudy, drizzy day, but once we hiked above the cloud level it was gorgeous. Here are some pictures.

Now it's the first day of my summer break #1. I'm going to find a nice warm sweater and make some hot tea. Tomorrow Andrew and I are going to drive south in search of fun and adventure.
