Back!
  --29 November, 2007, 10:27:46

The website is back up. Hooray! For the loyal viewers that are checking back, here's a new mini.

Three more days til the art pageant at Diva's! (See the news post below.)

Actual News
  --25 November, 2007, 13:22:01

Thanksgiving was wonderful. Lots of twenty something gamers with out-of-town families converged for turkey, cranberries and board games.

It's been a welcome break. The ten days before the break saw two tests, two quizzes and four goblins. (For Paizo's new line) Whew! My two weeks of calm before finals is underway. Well calm isn't the right word.

As I mentioned above, I have actual news! There is an art show at my favorite local coffee shop and I'll have a case there with my miniatures. It's at Diva's Espresso on 80th and Greenwood December 1st from 9 to 3. I'm looking forward to seeing how the general public and artsy types react to tiny pewter people.

Also I will be selling some minatures from my collection there. Possibly even the Skarre that won Privateer's contest this summer. (My mind isn't made up on that one--I'm rather fond of her.) If anyone is interested drop me a line.

Need to Be Stopped!
  --13 November, 2007, 21:19:35

As you may have noticed, I've been pretty busy with school lately. I have bunches of new minis painted, but I haven't had time to edit and post the pictures. It is midterm season. I got a test back today, and did pretty well on it, so I'm happy. There's another midterm on Friday and yet another on Monday. After that I hope to get caught up on my posting here. So I've been busy, and it goes without saying that my synapses are not connecting properly.

This was illustrated today in class. My biology prof, on a tangent, showed us a picture of a slug with a funny protrusion just below its head on the right side. He asked us what this structure was. I immediately thought of one of my favorite videos. It's times like this that I wish my filters worked better under stress. My PC editor could have changed my text into, "sperm transfer organ." But no, when called upon in front of 200+ people, I shouted out, "It's a penis!"

It was then delicately pointed out that in slugs that device is called a hemipene.
