Doooooom

Some minis just don't work out well. This knight is one such mini. Seven drill bits died assembling him, many of them skewered me before they broke. My finger pads got infected...it was terrible. *melodromatic shudder* He took an ungodly number hours to paint, and my hourly wage for him was embarrassing. He is also very fragile--I gather he was never intended to be assembled, so there are no joins to speak of, other than what I drilled/sculpted. USPS tells me he arrived at his destination five days ago, but I've had no response. The recipient is a very busy man, but I fear this delay in communication is because he received a box full of knight fragments.

Things are going well on the domesticated animal front. After six months, Brownie has forgiven me for bringing spastic-kitten Nom into her house. He was being punished (for malicious doots!) and was locked out on the cold, enclosed back porch. Brownie saw that he was sad and wanted in, so she came and yelled at me until I came and petted her in front of his window.
My discus fish are happy and healthy. Every week they lay a batch of eggs on the filter's water intake, and every week the developing discus get sucked in. Alpha Disc may not actually be very happy though, because her husband, Mr. Flippy, is overly interested in Skank Disc Gamma. Gamma Disc is doing her best to steal Mr. Flippy away from Alpha Disc. She is temptig Mr. Flippy with her prettier colors and higher intelligence--she indicates that *her* eggs won't go onto the filter.
Fish are fun!
I have a metric pile ton of minis to post. It's what comes of procrastination and focused sulking. To rectify this, I will endeavor to post one a week. If you're not the patient type, or if my sulking behavior continues, head over to www.darkswordminiatures.com because they'll likely beat me to posting.
