There was a pseudoscorpion party on my front porch and I was invited...as the photographer. These bitty arachnids (about 2mm long) have probably hatched recently and are looking to hitch a ride larger animals.
This is Chrysanthus viridis from the Queens University of Belfast entomology collection. They let me in to paint their bugs.
Here is a Carabidae beetle from the Pacific Northwest. Done as extra credit for my entomology class.
This is a typical post-final exam mess. The photo doesn't give a very good impression of the depth of the pile. Diet Coke empties were omitted due to space issues.
This landscape I painted for my boyfriend Andrew. The trees are from my memory of my trip to Mt. St. Helens.
This is a buprestid, or jewel borer beetle. I painted it as a christmas present for my parents.
I kept a journal the last time I went backbacking. It got illustrated and turned into a comic. :)
My only child status is threatened. Here's a pic of my mom with her new baby. It's an ion beam particle accelerator.
