This is my flock of discus fish. Pictured here are Pippy, Flippy, PC, Squints, Alpha, Beta and Gamma Discs and four that haven't named themselves yet. Spot and Delta Disc are hiding. The singular of discus isn't disc, but it ought to be. |

Here is new kitten Nom. He will be a mountain of a cat when he grows up, but right now he is tiny and cute.

A hummingbird made her nest outside my kitchen window. Unfortunately she used seeds in its construction, and when they matured they turned half her nest into a pile of puff. She left to try her luck elsewhere. Here's the nest and bird, pre-poof. |

This page, and 26 of its buddies, comprised my weekly quantum mechanics homework. I'm pleased with this bit, because I discovered a way to save a great deal of space. Integrating all those terms from right to left saved me from another page of calculations.

A local board game company needed some rats sculpted. Since I'm good with paint, clearly I must be a good sculptor and thus was hired for the job. ; ) Fortunately in the (American) board game world, the bar is set fairly low in terms of mini quality. Here are the mutant lab rats, sculpts two through seven of my illustrious sculpting career.

There was a pseudoscorpion party on my front porch and I was invited...as the photographer. These bitty arachnids (about 2mm long) have probably hatched recently and are looking to hitch a ride larger animals. |

This is Chrysanthus viridis from the Queens University of Belfast entomology collection. They let me in to paint their bugs. |

Here is a Carabidae beetle from the Pacific Northwest. Done as extra credit for my entomology class. |
| This is a typical post-final exam mess. The photo doesn't give a very good impression of the depth of the pile. Diet Coke empties were omitted due to space issues. |
| This landscape I painted for my boyfriend Andrew. The trees are from my memory of my trip to Mt. St. Helens. |
| This is a buprestid, or jewel borer beetle. I painted it as a christmas present for my parents. |
| I kept a journal the last time I went backbacking. It got illustrated and turned into a comic. :) |
| My only child status is threatened. Here's a pic of my mom with her new baby. It's an ion beam particle accelerator. |
